Attack and Destroy

By |2011-07-10T23:31:10-05:00June 22, 2010|iPad Reviews|

Attack & Destroy is a strategic turn-based game where you control and lead a small three member team into battle. Your team can consist of a shotgun toting Grunt, a sneaky Sniper, a Technician with toys, and a quick moving Scout. Each character has special powers that can be used every other turn, for example; the Grunt has a forward charge that increases his speed, the Scout can reveal hidden landmines, the Sniper can turn invisible, and the Technician can set up gun turrets. Obviously the trick is that each one of these team members brings something different to each battle so you have to choose wisely when creating a team for each specific mission...

Mr. Kubus

By |2011-07-10T23:09:16-05:00June 22, 2010|iPhone Reviews|

I’m not sure I've ever seen an iPhone/iPod Touch game like Mr. Kubus before and if I have then it obviously didn’t leave an impact. This 2D left to right scroller is a mix between a puzzler and a strategy game. The object of the game is to reach the finish line with as many red hearts as possible. As you move through the level you can gather hearts, and also lose them by running into obstacles...

Boggle

By |2011-07-10T23:31:20-05:00June 10, 2010|iPad Reviews|

The iPad version of Boggle is as close to the actually board game as you can get. You even have to shake the device to mix up the letters to start each game. When the game first opens a well laid out menu appears with your choices; Quick Play, Advanced Play, Achievements, Options, and More EA Games. I like the Quick Play option because it uses the same rules that I used when playing the board game long ago...

Plane

Before I start talking about Plane, I want to cover what the people at MPad are doing. They are one of the first companies to really attack the iPad as a multiplayer device. Some companies are charging up to $9.99 for a game and that wouldn’t even cover the cost of the controller downloads. But at MPad all you have to do is buy the controller once for $.99 and the iPad games are forever free. Not a bad deal for all of us gamers out there...

Asplosion! HD is a chain reaction game where you try to explode as many circles as possible. If you have ever heard of a game called Boomshine, it is a lot like that.  However, Asplosion! HD takes the chain reaction game to the next level by adding differently types of projectiles with different circles...

By |2011-07-10T23:10:22-05:00June 4, 2010|iPhone Reviews|

Sorter is a fast paced puzzle game where you must drag colored disks to their matching color corral. It sounds really easy doesn’t it? It’s not. As soon as you think you’ve got the hang of it, you make a mental mistake and drag a red disk into the blue corral...
