Ticket to Ride

My first impressions of Ticket to Ride were not good. The menu graphics seemed hokey; they are all still-frames that look like oil paintings. Once you tap on a link to another menu the next menu slides in to frame. This whole time the train conductor is voicing over each screen with the options that you have just activated...

Tiger Tiger Woods Y’all! If you aren’t familiar with Electronic Arts’ (EA) golf series, Tiger Woods PGA Tour, (TWPT) then get out from under that rock. They have had games for Playstation 1 and 2, Xbox and Xbox 360, mobile devices, and many other platforms. Needless to say their most popular platforms are the console versions for Playstation and Xbox...

I can honestly say, I’m addicted to this game. I got it about a week ago and I can’t stop playing it. Every free moment I get I pull out my phone and play. It was easy to learn but challenging enough to keep me coming back for more. There are multiple game modes that you can switch back and forth from but the real fun is in “The Big Game.”

Using the basic concept of table tennis, Paddle Pong HD is the newest way to quench your competitive thirst. First and foremost, it’s is much more like real life table tennis than the old version of Pong. Yes, the game is set up the same way but Paddle Pong HD adds a twist to the classic style game. What’s the twist you ask? Well, it’s just that, a twist. You can turn and twist your paddle. By doing so you can more easily direct the ball and score on your opponent...

Pirates vs. Ninja vs. Zombies vs. Panda

A pirate, a ninja, a zombie, and a panda walk into a bar. The bartender looks up and says, “Hey! Where’s the angry bird?” If you’ve heard of Angry Birds, but not of PvNvZvP, Pirates vs. Ninja vs. Zombies vs. Panda, then you haven’t been paying attention. PvNvZvP is the very similar but (in my opinion) the more challenging, adult version of Angry Birds. When I first played Angry Birds I flew (pun intended) through the levels and was done with the game in a few days. The only replay value I got was going back and getting more stars and finding the hidden eggs. Yes, Angry Birds is still a very good game and worth every penny, but it doesn’t offer the same challenge that PvNvZvP offers...

Flick Golf HD

I am a golfer so I thoroughly enjoy golf games for my iPad and iPhone, however since I like to play them so much I have quite a few of them and have found that many golf games created for iDevices are not on par for the course, if you will. I was going to say “subpar” but that would mean, in golf terminology, that the game would be better than normal...
