Chaos Rings

Chaos Rings is the first game that Square Enix has ever specifically made for the iPhone and iPod Touch platform. This is no port from a game that was made 20 years ago (I'm looking at you Final Fantasy) that was then ported to the DS and then again to the iPhone. Instead, it's an entirely new story, characters and world that one of the largest names in gaming has created for our favorite platform...

Zenonia 2

By |2011-07-10T23:14:54-05:00April 1, 2010|iPhone Reviews|

Zenonia 2 is the epic follow up to last year's widely acknowledged iPhone/iPod Touch RPG of the year. Suffice to say the expectations I had as someone who loved the first version were at an all-time high with the release of the sequel. The emotions I had while playing Zenonia 2 were all over the place. The action is epic, the story is crap and the gameplay is fun. These things combined added up to a pretty great gaming experience with just a tinge of disappointment...

Final Fantasy

By |2011-07-10T23:15:31-05:00March 22, 2010|iPhone Reviews|

Final Fantasy made its way to the iPhone and iPod Touch world late last month. This version is based on the PSP game of the same name, not the NES version from 1987 (1990 US release). Without a doubt there have been a tremendous number of advances since its first iteration. I'll skip the story and the pretense. If you’re reading this review you know all about the series and how popular it has been. You probably are already playing Final Fantasy 13...

Alice in Wonderland

This is not your mom's Alice in Wonderland. This is a game based on a very old story that has been through the mind of Tim Burton. I'm sure you are familiar with Tim Burton, the director of Batman, Edward Scissorhands, and Beetlejuice, just to name a few. If you know anything about Tim Burton then you know he is a very innovative director that tends to see things in a much bigger, sometimes much scarier way. Alice in Wonderland is no different. The game has a creepy, yet playful vibe that keeps you locked into the game play...

Fighting Fantasy: Deathtrap Dungeon

Fighting Fantasy: Deathtrap Dungeon is an iPhone/iPod Touch game that consists of elements from both fantasy RPGs and Choose Your Own Adventure books. The game is just what the title states; a fantasy game where you try to escape a dungeon. The game play consists of reading a 'page' and making one of the predetermined choices. To make one of those choices...

Vanquish: Oath of Brothers

By |2011-07-10T23:18:42-05:00February 5, 2010|iPhone Reviews|

In my time spent playing Vanquish: Oath of Brothers I have felt a wide range of emotions. At first I was bored, then I was interested and finally I ended up feeling somewhere in the middle. The game certainly has its strengths but has a few faults that counter balance them and keep it from being a classic...
