Mahjongg Artifacts HD

To my surprise, I’ve found that quite a few people have never heard of the game, mahjongg. If you are one of those unfortunate people, please allow me to enlighten you. The basic concept of mahjongg is a simple matching game. The game is played with around 144 colorful tiles that each has a matching partner. The tiles are stack and laid out in different formation and you, as the player, must match all of the tiles...

NinJump

By |2011-07-10T23:04:33-05:00August 16, 2010|iPhone Reviews|

NinJump is the newest creation out of prolific developer, Backflip Studios. In another nod to freemium gaming, you’ll find the ad-supported NinJump on the App Store for the very low price of free. You do have the option of removing the ads for a buck but the iAds are fairly unobtrusive and playing with them should not cause you any issues. This game makes Ninjatown: Trees of Doom seem slow and outdated…and I really like it...

Ninja Chicken

By |2011-07-10T23:04:39-05:00August 13, 2010|iPhone Reviews|

40 levels, 8 stages, 4 difficulty levels, head to head mode, ranking systems, and unlockable achievements are all part of the latest title from Kongzhong Corporation’s, Ninja Chicken. Sounds pretty promising, right? Well, unless sorting samurai chickens into their corresponding color coded squares is your idea of a whopping great time, this one falls flat pretty quickly...

Nesen Probe

By |2011-07-10T23:04:50-05:00August 12, 2010|iPhone Reviews|

If there was an award at iPhone Gamer Blog for weirdest game ever, Nesen Probe, would win. That being said, weird doesn’t necessarily mean good. In this game, you take on the role of a flying spaceship nose (oh you expected something not quite that weird?) that goes around trying to suck in flying circles of green and purple (and a health kit from time to time). The real danger lays in accidentally sucking up one of the encroaching gray circles which take away points and life...

Soccer Rally

It’s not that Soccer Rally is bad, just that it’s not very special. I mean, basically what it boils down to is a pong-type game clone with you controlling a goalie instead of a bar. Instead of a pong ball, you have a soccer ball. There are a few things I’ll discuss below that make it as bit more interesting than old school pong but all in all, and I won’t beat around the bush – you probably won’t like this game very much...

Marble Mixer

Marbles. It’s fun for the whole family, enjoyable for nearly everyone, and simple enough to wrap your head around the concept in about 30 seconds. Enter Marble Mixer, a multiplayer title with three separate games jammed into one app to keep you shooting marbles all over the place like you don’t even own that high definition flat screen TV or overpriced Macbook Pro. Okay, well you’re playing it on an iPhone so let’s not get quite so carried away...

Freaking Inkies HD

By |2011-07-10T23:30:09-05:00July 26, 2010|iPad Reviews|

Freaking Inkies is probably the most colorfully fun, shooter-based iPad game I have ever played. The back story is that you have a library of books and these Inkies, those freaking Inkies, are trying to ruin and write all over the pages. To protect your books you have to eliminate those Inkies by shooting them with a color ball that matches their color, yellow for yellow, red for red and so on...
