Supermarket Mania

Does anyone remember the show Supermarket Sweep? A wholesome half hour filled with crazed people running around like a herd of wild animals through a supermarket, swiping items off the shelves while desperately loading the carts as fast as humanly possible. Supermarket Mania is almost the same thing, except you take on the stressful role of Nikki, the clerk assigned to stocking the shelves, yelling at teenagers, preventing theft, and of course, cleaning up after people when they throw garbage on the floor...

Gravity Runner

By |2011-07-10T23:04:04-05:00August 24, 2010|iPhone Reviews|

A game with the look and the feel of Hook Champ with the ability to flip gravity at the tap of a button - I have just described Gravity Runner, a new release from distinctly named developer, We Are Colin. The unique gameplay makes the game fun and the heft of 50 missions gives you a ton of gameplay. Sometimes games like these rely too much on automatically generated terrain but this game gives you developer created levels that take each and every object placement into account...

NinJump

NinJump is the newest creation out of prolific developer, Backflip Studios. In another nod to freemium gaming, you’ll find the ad-supported NinJump on the App Store for the very low price of free. You do have the option of removing the ads for a buck but the iAds are fairly unobtrusive and playing with them should not cause you any issues. This game makes Ninjatown: Trees of Doom seem slow and outdated…and I really like it...

Ninja Chicken

By |2011-07-10T23:04:39-05:00August 13, 2010|iPhone Reviews|

40 levels, 8 stages, 4 difficulty levels, head to head mode, ranking systems, and unlockable achievements are all part of the latest title from Kongzhong Corporation’s, Ninja Chicken. Sounds pretty promising, right? Well, unless sorting samurai chickens into their corresponding color coded squares is your idea of a whopping great time, this one falls flat pretty quickly...

Soccer Rally

By |2011-07-10T23:04:55-05:00August 12, 2010|iPhone Reviews|

It’s not that Soccer Rally is bad, just that it’s not very special. I mean, basically what it boils down to is a pong-type game clone with you controlling a goalie instead of a bar. Instead of a pong ball, you have a soccer ball. There are a few things I’ll discuss below that make it as bit more interesting than old school pong but all in all, and I won’t beat around the bush – you probably won’t like this game very much...

Army of Mice

By |2011-07-10T23:05:20-05:00August 9, 2010|iPhone Reviews|

Grab your sword, hammer, and ray gun, because it’s time to defend the planet from an evil horde of samurai mice! Somewhat similar to Whac-a-mole, Army of Mice arms you with an assortment of weapons and power-ups to smash the enemy mice into oblivion, while they attempt to slice and dice you with throwing stars, swords, and just about anything else you can imagine. Multiple game modes and nearly 120 levels are just the tip of the iceberg on the latest title from On Concept Ltd...
